Developed Emotional intelligence provides power and competence. Developed EQ provides thinking of exploration not exploitation. People with high developed EQ make more ethical and complaint decisions. Emotion can lead to our worst decisions or our best ones, the difference is emotional intelligence. EQ has twice the power of IQ to get to the top and stay there. Many people get to the top, but staying there is a problem. The way you treat people to get to the top, is the same way they will treat you when you get there to get you down.
The climb to the top becomes easier with a developed EQ. Your highly developed EQ will always point you in the right direction to interpret the events around you. It will help you be patient, observant, accurate. Leadership is fundamentally about facilitating and driving high performance, getting others to do things effectively and efficiently. One if the secrets to achieving this is to focus on people’s prime value. Everybody has values and among those values is a prime value. A value of high importance. The main value. The number one value. As a leader you must get a focus and a grip on that prime value and hold the course on that value. Remind people of that prime value, keep them focused it and the rest will be history.
